Hello Really Hawt fans, network executives, and people lost on the internet, and welcome to what is essentially an online DVD of the official TV pilot of the Really Hawt webcomic! A bit of history first.
When I started Really Hawt back in 2004, it was just a goofy idea that came about from a sentence or two of an AIM conversation between myself and my friend Mere (basically this whole thing is accidentally her fault.) However, shortly after I started my poorly-drawn monstrosity, I wound up creating an actual all-encompassing story that would not only follow Andy/The Sex's antics, but also explore where he came from and where he is going. It's an incredibly powerful story.
Unfortunately, I can't draw. That sort of kills any impact this thing can have.
As an enterprising film student, though, I quickly realized that the best way to get the true story across was through a movie. I began writing a screenplay.
Ironically, going to film school- or at least, the one I was attending for the time being- prevented me from shooting anything interesting. Oh ho ho ho. Fortunately (that's one way of looking at it,) during my sophomore year, I decided to leave that school before the year's end in order to look at better schools, as well as to relax for once.
That's when I drifted to the New York Comic Con and sat in on the New York Television Festival panel entitled, "Do You Have A Great Idea For A TV Show?"
"I've got a Great Idea For A Movie that might make a Great Idea For A TV Show," I said to myself. I felt that my years of self-teaching myself 3D modeling, editing, and the like had come far enough to adequately convey what I was going for with the series. And so here, in the best shape I could get it, is the no-budget TV pilot of Really Hawt. It premieres at the New York Television Festival in September. Please be nice.
Oh yeah, and you need Quicktime or whatever to watch these things. If downloading, then right-click and Save Target As (or the closest thing to it.) I've also got fancy DVDs with menus and all that; email me if you want one.
Also, this will be on YouTube as soon as I figure out if the NYTVF allows it.
